I wish to advise you that BNP, as the Issuer of an Instalment Warrant
over Australia and New Zealand Banking Group Limited (ANZIPA)
announces that the record date for the fully franked $0.29 dividend
will be 26 May 2000. This corresponds to the dividend record date for
ANZ ordinary shares. 

As with the ANZ ordinary shares, the BNP Instalment Warrants will
commence trading ex-dividend on 22 May 2000. Dividend 
Reinvestment Plans do not apply to the BNP Instalment Warrants.

As registrar for the BNP Instalment Warrants, Computershare Registry
Services Pty Ltd, will ensure the dividends are distributed to the
Instalment Warrant holders as soon as possible after their receipt.
