MULTIEMEDIA.COM LIMITED 2000-07-12 ASX-SIGNAL-G HOMEX - Sydney +++++++++++++++++++++++++ MEDIA RELEASE Leading Australian Internet technology developer, MultiEmedia.com, today finalised a strategic alliance with the ANZ Bank. As announced on 5 June 2000, ANZ will take an initial 15% stake in MultiEmedia.com with the option to expand its stake during the three year term of the alliance. As part of the business partnership ANZ will appoint a Director to the Board of MultiEmedia.com. Under the terms of the alliance MultiEmedia.com will make available its Zone Studio product through the ANZ BizSite. The service will offer a web creation service for ANZ's small business customers. ANZ small business customers will be able to create, edit and maintain professional e-commerce enabled web sites without any knowledge of HTML or web design. Mr Satyendra Chelvendra, ANZ's Managing Director Personal e-Commerce, said that as a result of the alliance ANZ has exclusive access to MultiEmedia.com's technology within the financial services sector. Mr Jamie Bartels, MultiEmedia.com's Director of Business Development and Alliances, said the partnership would directly benefit ANZ's customers who operated small to medium size businesses. "We see the provision of our Zone Studio software as the first of many products we can offer to ANZ customers to support them with their e-commerce and Internet strategies," he said. "Over the coming months, we will be investigating other opportunities with the ANZ to determine how our technology and expertise might be of value in other areas," Mr Bartels said. In recent weeks MultiEmedia.com has signed strategic alliances with Deloitte Consulting and Hewlett Packard offering cutting edge e-business applications to their customers. Further details regarding the ANZ alliance will be released in accordance with the Australian Stock Exchange's listing rules.
