Australia and New Zealand Banking Group Limited advises that the
Closing Date of the Offer for ANZ Instalment Applications using
Telstra Instalment Receipts is extended to 17 October 2000, 5pm AEST.

Australia and New Zealand Banking Group Limited is the warrant-issuer
of instalment warrants to be issued over ordinary shares in Telstra
Corporation Limited under an Offering Circular dated 22 September
2000.
