Australia and New Zealand Banking Group Limited announces the Closing
Date of the Offer for ANZ Instalment Applications using Telstra
Instalment Receipts has been extended to Wednesday 18 October 2000,
5pm AEST.

Australia and New Zealand Banking Group Limited is the issuer of ANZ
Instalments in respect of ordinary shares in Telstra Corporation
Limited under an Offering Circular dated 22 September 2000.
Applications may only be made on an Application Form referred to and
included in a copy of the Offering Circular. Copies of the Offering
