We wish to advise that BNP Paribas, as the issuer of an Instalment
Warrant over Australia & New Zealand Banking Group Limited (ANZIPA)
announces that the record date for the $0.35 fully franked dividend
will be 9 November 2000. This corresponds to the dividend record date
for ANZ ordinary shares.

As with the ANZ ordinary shares, the BNP Paribas Instalment Warrants
will commence trading ex-dividend on 2 November 2000. Dividend
Reinvestment Plans do not apply to the BNP Paribas Instalment
Warrants.

As registrar for the BNP Paribas Instalment Warrants, Computershare
Registry Services Pty Ltd, will ensure the dividends are distributed
to the Instalment Warrant holders as soon as possible after their
receipt.
