In its annual results announcement made on 26 October 2000, ANZ
announced that the Directors proposed a final dividend of 35 cents
per fully paid ordinary share.

This dividend, with 100% franking, has now been declared and will be
payable on 15 December 2000 to holders of fully paid shares
registered in the books of the Company at the close of business on 9
November 2000.
