Adacel Technologies is to provide ANZ with a simulation e-learning
solution in a $3.8 million browser-based training system under a
contract announced today.

Adacel's Managing Director, Silvio Salom, said the simulation-based
e-learning project was one of the largest technology-based training
projects in Australia's financial sector and one of the largest
multimedia projects in Australia. The Adacel system will be used to
train ANZ staff in the changeover to the bank's new browser-based
Sales and Service Platform.

"Adacel is at the forefront worldwide in the development of
simulation-based e-learning which will become a significant part of
the emerging global market for e-learning," he said.

"This project underlines the growing role of Web-based corporate
e-learning both in Australia and globally," Mr Salom said. "This
emerging e-learning market is set to grow from $US200 million to
$US11 billion globally by 2003.

"Adacel's e-learning solutions marry the benefits of simulation with
the accessibility provided by Internet, Intranet and extranets, Mr
Salom said. "American studies show that 'learning by doing' provides
a 90% retention rate, especially if the training environment and the
working environment are closely matched.

more effective training are being increasingly recognised throughout
the world.

"Simulation learning becomes a valuable tool in situations where
major corporate changes are bringing in new systems, new processes
and internal cultural change," Mr Salom said.
