Group Limited ("ANZ Bank") provides the following in respect of the
quarter ended 31 March 1999:

NORTH LIMITED

(b) As at 31.03.99 ANZ Bank held a relevant interest in 628,494 fully
paid ordinary shares in North Limited, comprising 0.08% of the issued
capital of that Listed Entity.

QANTAS AIRWAYS LIMITED

    Number of QANWAA warrants currently outstanding as 
    at 31.03.99                                            25 million 

(b) As at 31.03.99 ANZ Bank held a relevant interest in 6,300 fully
paid ordinary shares in Qantas Airways Limited, comprising less than
0.01% of the issued capital of that Listed Entity.

QANTAS AIRWAYS LIMITED

    Number of QANWAP warrants currently outstanding as 
    at 31.03.99                                            15 million 

(b) As at 31.03.99 ANZ Bank held a relevant interest in 6,300 fully
paid ordinary shares in Qantas Airways Limited, comprising less than
0.01% of the issued capital of that Listed Entity.

AUSTRIM LIMITED

(a) Number of ARLWAA warrants bought back during quarter   2,289,475

(b) As at 31.03.99 ANZ Bank held a relevant interest in 8,200 fully
paid ordinary shares in Austrim Limited, comprising less than 0.01%
of the issued capital of that Listed Entity.

    Number of HAHWAA warrants currently outstanding as

(b) As at 31.03.99 ANZ Bank held a relevant interest in 101,667 fully
paid ordinary shares in James Hardie Industries Limited, comprising
0.02% of the issued capital of that Listed Entity.
