Pursuant to the above ASX Listing Rule, Australia and New Zealand
Banking Group Limited advise that in respect of the ANZ Group Share
Option Scheme:

* 1,509 fully paid ordinary shares were issued on 25 March 1999
following the exercise of options; and

* options over 175,000 unissued fully paid ordinary shares were
issued on 25 March 1999 to 27 employees at an exercise price of
$11.44 each share.
