THAI MILITARY BANK TALKS CONTINUING

ANZ today reiterated its statement made on Friday 20 June regarding
discussions with Thai Military Bank following inaccurate media
reporting.

ANZ confirms that there is currently no firm proposal that has been
made to Thai Military Bank. Substantive issues are still to be
resolved and the talks, while constructive, may take some time to
reach a conclusion either way.
