ASX Clear will introduce CME SPAN 4.0 margining on 26 November 2012.   Market Update Centre Point- October Statistics October 2012 was another record month for ASX Centre Point. • October 2012 was a record month for Centre Point by traded value ($2.7B) • Over $34 billion dollars has traded in Centre Point since inception • $99 million of price improvement has been delivered since inception.   LMIs & ETPs – October Statistics ASX ETP Funds Under Management breaks through $6bn for the first time. Exchange Traded Options – October Statistics Single Stock Equity Options record their highest Open Interest since August 2011. Product News CME SPAN 4.0 ASX is introducing CME SPAN 4.0 Margining for all Equity Derivatives Products listed on ASX Trade and cleared by ASX Clear on 26 November 2012. Derivative Account Segregation and Portability ASX has released a Consultation Paper on potential changes to the derivatives account structures and the means by which margins are calculated and held. Industry responses are due by 7 December 2012. Review of Continuous Disclosure Guidance Note The focus of this consultation is the proposed new version of Guidance Note 8, which is intended to provide listed entities more detailed information to assist them in understanding and complying with their continuous disclosure obligations under listing Rules 3.1-3.1B. Enhanced Disclosure Rules for Mining, Gas and Oil companies ASX has received regulatory approval to introduce new listing rules to enhance disclosure of reserves and resources by ASX-listed mining and oil and gas companies. The new reporting requirements are part of a series of initiatives by ASX that will modernise Australia's equity capital markets.
