ASX Energy & Environment

As a vertically integrated, multi-asset exchange group, ASX provides companies with access to capital, forward price discovery and risk transfer. ASX supports Australia's energy and environmental markets through the operation of its existing capital (debt and equity) and futures and options markets. ASX also provides opportunities to invest in publicly listed energy, renewable energy and clean technology companies.

ASX energy and environmental markets are comprised of futures and options over Australian electricity, New Zealand electricity, natural gas and Renewable Energy Certificates (RECs).

ASX has announced its intention to support and service Australia’s future Carbon scheme at the earliest opportunity through the provision of its existing contemporary trading, clearing, and settlement infrastructure.
