In 2003, ASX listed 19.5micron, 21.0 micron & 22.6 micron China type wool futures contracts. ASX Wool Futures provide participants in the wool industry with a way to manage price risk, and a market to facilitate price discovery.

The ASX Limited group of companies, known as the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX), includes the combined operations of the Australian Stock Exchange and SFE Corporation (Sydney Futures Exchange) which merged in July 2006.

As a result of the merger, ASX Limited operates both wool futures markets.
