Expiry calendar

Listed below are the expiry dates for options, LEPOs and futures contracts. The expiry date for equity options is usually the Thursday before the last business Friday in the month. The Australian Clearing House has the right to change this date should the need arise. Your broker can provide you with details.

Index Options and Index LEPOs expire on the third Thursday of the contract month providing this is a trading day. The Australian Clearing House has the right to change this date should the need arise.

The listing day for the various expiry cycles for equity options are shown below:

9, 12 and rolling month Listed the day after the nearest relevant series expires

European style exercise

All LEPOs are European style.

Flexes
Some option stocks only have 'flex-options' or non standardised options listed over them. In these cases there is no expiry cycle listed. Flex products have no market making obligations.

ETOs - Category 1 stocks

Nearest rolling 6 months followed by March quarterly expiry cycle months (total of 4 quarterly contract months listed at any one time).
List of Category 1 and Category 2 stocks

ETOs - Category 2 stocks Nearest rolling 3 months followed by March quarterly expiry cycle months (total of 4 quarters listed at any one time).
List of Category 1 and Category 2 stocks
XJO ETOs Contracts available in first 2 serial months and March quarterly expiry cycle up to 6 quarters ahead.
Index ETOs Contracts available in March, June, September and December up to 4 quarters ahead.
