Accredited warrant advisers
ASX requires that before making recommendations or giving advice in relation to options, warrants or any other derivatives products traded on ASX, an adviser must be accredited. ASX may in limited circumstances exempt some warrant series from this requirement. The accreditation requirement is designed to enable advisers to give quality advice and service on ASX derivatives products.
In order to be accredited to advise on warrants, an adviser must meet certain criteria. These include passing the relevant ASX exam, with a minimum mark of 80%.
Accreditation is only available to advisers working for Market Participants (brokers).
If you require assistance in finding an accredited warrants adviser, the list below is a starting point. It contains names and contact information for individual advisers, as well as the type of service provided and research offered.
The criteria you use in selecting an adviser will vary according to your needs and level of trading experience. Investors should note that warrants can be traded through full service, or ‘advisory’ brokers, as well as discount, or ‘no advice’, brokers. If a broker offers an execution-only service, without providing advice, accreditation may not be required for their representatives.
