ASX Education Booklets

ASX provides an excellent range of educational booklets that are aimed at retail investors.  ASX Adviser Services encourages you to use these brochures as an adjunct to your firm's educational program.

Ordering booklets

ASX booklets can be ordered in hardcopy in limited numbers, free of charge, by calling ASX Customer Service on 131 279.

Linking to ASX booklets

Alternately you may link to sections of the ASX website provided the conditions detailed under the "Terms of use" are met.  As some of these booklets are compulsory booklets, i.e. clients must read them before they can invest, ASX must ensure only the latest version of the particular booklet is distributed. This means we don't allow you to host the PDF files on your site rather that the link on your site actually downloads the PDF file from the ASX site. To your clients ASX's involvement will be almost invisible and visitors to your site will not leave your site.

Setting this up is very easy. On your site you create the page and link where you want the booklet to download from. The link is simply the address of the PDF file of the brochure you want from the ASX site. For example say you wanted to offer your site visitors the ability to download the Getting started in shares PDF from your site. You firstly create the section on your site where you want users to access the file, so this might be something like:

To help you get started in the sharemarket ASX has produced an explanatory booklet called Getting started in shares, which explains the fundamental of sharemarket investing. Download this booklet now (PDF 439KB).

You then create the hyperlink from 'now' to the address:
So when the users clicks on the 'now' link the booklet is served from the ASX site without the user leaving your site.
