Issuing and Paying Agency (IPA) Service

The service offers a "one-stop-shop" for Issuers which significantly reduces the administrative activities associated with the securities issue, allowing the Issuer to focus on their core business rather than fulfilment of back office processing.

In allowing the Issuer to minimise their back office functions, it provides the following benefits:

  • Timely and accurate control over each corporate action relating to the issue
  • RTGS irrevocable and immediate settlement of funds
  • Straight through processing of corporate actions relating to the security with controlled input by the Issuer

The table below illustrates the further capability that an IPA agent can provide to an Issuer, in addition to acting as the Registrar.

User reports

The following reports are available to Registry and IPA clients via the Austraclear System:

  • FIS Turnover Report - available in an Issuer's nominated participant branch.
  • FIS - Beneficial Holder Report - lists the owners of stock for each series, giving a total as at the close of business the previous night.
  • Beneficial Owners as at Books Close - lists all owners of stock as at books close date showing principal and interest.
  • Beneficial owners as at Interest Payment - lists all owners of stock as at interest due date showing the principal and the interest due to them.
  • Maturity Payment Beneficial owners - lists the owners of stock as the maturity date who are to receive maturing principal.
