In recognition of the importance of investor relations to the efficiency and transparency of the capital market, the ASX, in conjunction with the Australasian Investor Relations Association (AIRA), is holding a free series of briefings entitled ‘Investor Relations Hot Topics’ in 2013.

About the briefing
The briefings are designed to focus on key investor relations issues currently facing ASX-listed companies outside the S&P/ASX 200 which may impact a company’s liquidity, price discovery and capital raising ability. The first series of briefings will be held in May, with the second series to be held in September. Each series will cover a different set of topics.
The briefings will be conducted over two hours and presented by some of Australia’s most experienced investor relations and capital market professionals. There will be an opportunity for delegates to network over drinks at the conclusion of the briefing.

Who should attend?
Senior executives (CEOs, CFOs) of listed companies outside the S&P/ASX 200. All ASX-listed companies outside the S&P/ASX 200 will have the opportunity to send one executive to each briefing for FREE. Numbers are restricted to 50 people per event and are being offered on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Investor Relations Roundtables – for companies in the S&P/ASX 200
ASX and AIRA will be holding two roundtable lunch time seminars in Sydney and Melbourne that will address key topics surrounding investor relations that are of interest to senior executives of ASX listed companies in the S&P/ASX 200. Further details will be provided closer to the events.

Diploma of Investor Relations
ASX is also a proud supporter of the AIRA “Diploma of Investor Relations” course in 2013. The next Diploma course is being held in Melbourne on 9 October to 11 October 2013.
The programme consists of a combination of presentations and case studies which assist practitioners to explore recent developments and current IR issues. On completing all three days of the course, participants may complete a one hour online exam. On passing this exam, individuals are awarded with a Diploma of Investor Relations by AIRA and may use DipInvRel post-nominals.
