Market Information

Market Information provides objective company and stock market information through a range of products and services. Information is sourced from company reports and announcements lodged with ASX in addition to trading data sourced from both the ASX ITS™ and SFE SYCOM® trading systems.

Price data

MarketPoint™ is our products and licensing framework for access to and distribution of all ASX and SFE price data. 

Vendors can subscribe to real time or delayed data, sourced either directly from ASX or via a third party provider.

Distributors or Trading Participants wishing to receive information for both markets will be required to interface to two separate datafeeds.

News

The ASX ComNews™ and ComNews™ Direct services provide access to company announcements lodged with the ASX Company Announcements Office.

Upon release, each announcement is made available to subscribers in PDF format.

Reference data

ReferencePoint™ provides a comprehensive range of security reference data, corporate action services and end of day prices for equities, warrants and options.

Short selling

ASX Trading Participants must report their daily gross short sales (PDF 31KB) to ASX and ASX makes available a daily gross short sale report (TXT 23KB).

Securities Lending Disclosure

A number of reports have been introduced to improve the transparency of securities lending activity in the Australian Equities Market.

ASX System Status

The ASX System Status pages facilitate full distribution of system status and market information to all ASX and SFE Participants and market users during periods of disruption.

SFE trading statistics

SFE trading summaries contain 15 minute delayed prices; daily, monthly and yearly reports as well as record volume data for all contracts traded on the Sydney Futures Exchange.

ASX trading statistics

Market statistics includes turnover and statistical information about the Australian market. 

Vendor directory

Information vendors distribute a range of market information from the ASX and SFE trading platforms.

The vendor directory has information on each vendor's products and services and their contact details.
