Becoming a Market Information vendor

Customers may choose to access MarketSource™ either via a direct connection to our trading engine or indirectly via an authorised third party vendor.

Direct access to ASX data

ASX can provide a real time, low latency market data feed, containing market depth / level 2 information (aggregated depth and full market detail) provided directly by the ASX Trade Platform. Direct access is established by:

ASX’s proprietary NASDAQ Genium API interface, or
ASX FIX™ messaging standard

Connection is established by either:

a dedicated link into ASX-Net, where a router and gateway must be installed at the customer's premises in Australia, or
a VPN link into ASX

Indirect access to Market Data

Indirect access is achieved by receiving market information via a third party vendor. The vendors can supply real-time data, delayed data, or end of day data.

Third party vendors can also provide information relating to other exchanges, index providers or other asset classes, in a common format and via a single communication channel.

Direct access to ASX24 data

ASX24 real time market data is transmitted in accordance with the Inter-exchange Technical Committee (ITC) quotation line specification Version 2.1. The ITC Ver 2.1 specification is standard with most international Futures Exchanges, and a copy is available if required.

ASX24 and NZ Futures are provided as one composite market data feed.

To establish a direct connection to ITC QVIS (Quote Vendor Integration System) requires connection via VPN.
