Technical connection alternatives

There are four options available to connect to the Austraclear System:

1. Austraclear National Network Infrastructure (ANNI) Participants

ANNI provides a dedicated permanent fully routed network connection with end to end TCP/IP connectivity and security for access to the Austraclear System, RITS and RBNZ services.

The Premium Service utilises a 2048 kilobit / second service as the primary link with a diversely routed 2048 kilobit / second service for backup providing a high level of service availability and redundancy.

For Participants with $1BN in holdings or executing more than 100 transactions per day a dedicated ANNI connection is required.

2. Internet Participants

Participants can select their own method and speed of Internet connectivity. ASX recommends a minimum Internet connection speed of 128 kilobits / second.

The Austraclear National Network Infrastructure (ANNI) includes resilient Internet connectivity through which participants can connect to the Austraclear System.

3. SAFE - ASX Austraclear File Export Service

This free service provides a direct link between your computer system and the Austraclear System using SWIFT based message formats to eliminate double keying.

Using proprietary software to automatically download transactions manual input is eliminated files can be created and sent directly as batch data transfers, making STP an affordable reality.

The software is based on the creation of DAT formatted files and caters for the following ASX Austraclear entry records:

    1. Cash transfer transactions
    2. Fixed Income & Discount Securities and
    3. Foreign Exchange transactions

4. Via Proxy

Access the Austraclear System via another participant's connection (i.e. the other participant acts on your behalf).
