Share appraisal form

Each club will have its own approach to evaluating investment possibilities

Many investment clubs consider companies that have consistently demonstrated their ability to achieve good results; well-established companies with experienced management, a reliable workforce, adequate funding, products or services for which there is a proven demand, an established reputation and institutional backing. They are also companies that have demonstrated they can make profits for their shareholders.

Developing and refining your club's investment strategy

One of the most rewarding aspects of being in an investment club can be the process of developing and refining the approach your club will take.

  • Many clubs commit to paper a step-by-step process to follow when assessing investment opportunities. This process requires club members to consider and make judgments on those things the club has determined are important in reaching a decision on whether to commit the club’s money to a new investment (or whether to sell one of the club’s holdings).
