EXPOSURE DRAFT - PROPOSED ASX LISTING RULE AMENDMENTS 

ASX has today released an Exposure Draft outlining proposals to amend a number of aspects of the Listing Rules. The proposed changes deal with matters including:
  • a review of the framework governing debt listings to more adequately cater for debt products;
  • Chairman's open proxies;
  • issue of securities to related parties;
  • Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs);
  • dividend record dates;
  • deletion of a number of redundant provisions and correction of some technical matters.

It is proposed the Listing Rule amendments will take effect on 1 March 2005. The document is available on the ASX website and ASX Online website. ASX welcomes submissions on the proposed amendments, which should be received by no later than 22 November 2004.
