New head of ASX Supervision 

Australian Stock Exchange Ltd today announced that it had appointed Mr Eric Mayne as the new head of market supervision. 

Mr Mayne has 35 years expertise gained in government and private legal practice, most recently as the National Managing Partner of Mallesons Stephen Jaques. 

As Group Executive Market Supervision, he will be responsible for the oversight of ASX's supervision of the market, including company disclosure, market surveillance and participant compliance. 

Mr Mayne will commence at ASX in mid-May.
