1. Listing Fee changes: Amended Guidance Notes 15 and 15A released
ASX has adjusted its listing fees for the first time in 3 years with effect from 1 May 2012.
The rates of initial listing fees and annual listing fees have been increased (other than the minimum fee in each category), and subsequent listing fees have been increased for quotation of securities over the value of $10 million.
The other main change is that ASX Debt Listings (other than those that only have debt securities quoted on the Wholesale Loan Securities Market) will now pay listing fees on the same basis as ASX Equity Listings.
Annual listing fees for the 2012 - 2013 financial year will be calculated on 31 May 2012, using the new fees schedule.
Amended versions of Guidance Note 15 and 15A have been released on the ASX website, and are available on ASX Online.
2. Forthcoming minor amendment of listing rule 10.10
ASX has lodged with ASIC a proposed amendment to listing rule 10.10. The amendment will make it clear that the independent expert's report that is required to be sent to security holders in connection with a resolution under listing rule 10.1 can be sent in electronic form to security holders who elect to receive their notices of meeting in electronic form. Listed entities will also have to make the independent expert's report available on their websites.
The amended rule is expected to come into effect on 1 June 2012. In the next Listed Entities Update ASX will confirm whether the rule amendment has come into effect, and, if it has, will include a link to the amended rule.
