Chartered Secretaries Australia National Conference
CSA's annual National Conference will continue to explore key issues facing governance professionals in the private, public and not-for-profit sectors.

2006 Annual AIRA Conference and Australasian Investor Relations Awards
The Australasian Investor Relations Association (AIRA) will be hosting the 2006 Australasian Investor Relations Awards presentation and dinner recognising best practice investor relations across Australian and New Zealand listed companies.
This event will be run in conjunction with the 2006 Annual AIRA Conference and provides an opportunity for the whole industry to come together and celebrate best practice investor relations. The 2006 Award categories will be determined by a working party convened by AIRA and a new methodology will be adopted to recognise companies and individuals within the ASX 50, ASX 100, ASX 200 and ASX 300.
This is the key event for anyone who is involved in investor relations or investor communications.

AMEC Retail Investor Seminar - Investing In Mining Stocks
The focus of this seminar is on educating retail investors in the business of mining and exploration and understanding company announcements & company accounts. This event is targeted to retail investors, members within the mining and exploration industry, superannuation fund managers, financial planners and others in the investment community.This seminar will be conducted by Dr Allan Trench, author of ‘Top Resource Stocks 2007’ which has been recently published.

Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year National Awards
The Australian Entrepreneur of the Year awards program, launched by Ernst & Young in 2001, is conducted in five regions culminating in the national awards. The program honours entrepreneurs whose ingenuity and perseverance have created and sustained successful, growing business ventures. EOY’s primary objective is to identify, acknowledge and celebrate the outstanding contribution entrepreneurs make to the Australian business community and economy.
The winners of each of the five competitive awards will now go forward to the national event in Sydney on 30th November 2006. Entrepreneurs nominated for the program, are judged according to their Entrepreneurial Spirit, Innovation, Personal Integrity/Influence, Financial Performance, Strategic Direction, National/Global impact.
