When indirect shares are included (those managed via managed funds or self-managed superannuation funds), total share ownership increased to 51% or 7.4 million people. Independent market research company, Millward Brown, is once again undertaking the quantitative component of the Australian Share Ownership Study. At the time of writing, a national telephone survey among 2,400 people was underway.
