Recent Companies Updates
Enhancing the liquidity of the Australian equity market
ASX reviews on a continuous basis the efficiency and effectiveness of its equity market structure and design. Following extensive consultation ASX has made a number of decisions regarding the structure of the equities market.

The entire www.asx.com.au website is currently being redesigned. The purpose of the redesign initiative is to improve www.asx.com.au usability for both investors and professionals. The outcome of this will be an improved web service to assist and increase trading activity.
A look back at 2004
The Australian market completed a standout year in 2004 with key indicators highlighting the strength of the local bourse. Total returns from the S&P ASX 200 at 22.8% were around three times the returns delivered by either the FTSE 100 or Nikkei 225 indices.

  • Making the Most of Your listing is a new seminar designed to assist recently listed companies. Next seminars are being held in Melbourne and Brisbane.

    Findings of the Implementation Review Group
    The first full year for which companies and trusts were obliged by ASX Listing Rule 4.10.3 to disclose their corporate governance practices in their annual reports is now complete.
