Top-Level Results of ASX's Recent SME Survey
In June 2005 we conducted a survey of all ASX-listed SMEs and many of their advisers to increase our understanding of their views on a wide range of issues including capital raising, post-IPO support and trading activity, disclosure, ASX listing rules and our trading environment. The three most clearly supported issues in the survey were:

1.    Strong support for high standards at IPO (89%)
2.    Strong support for ASX as an SME listing destination (84%)
3.    Strong support for reform of ongoing capital raising for SMEs (80%)

Many thanks to all those who participated in the survey, whether in the face-to-face interview sample or the online survey - and special thanks to those who took the time to do both. The results will be an important input into current work determining appropriate standards and rules for SME companies.
