Welcome to this month's Listed @ ASX newsletter. This newsletter is intended for managing directors, company secretaries, senior managers and corporate advisers. This month we look at the ASX/Russell Long-Term Investing Report highlighting the strong performance of listed property. ASX/Russell Long-Term Investing Report The recent ASX/Russell Long-Term Investing Report found that, for the 10 years ending 31 December 2005, listed property outperformed all other investment sectors. ASX/AusBiotech Code of Best Practice Annual reporting time provides an opportunity for Life Science Companies to review their communications with shareholders in the light of the ASX/AusBiotech Code of Best Practice.
Improvements to corporate governance disclosure The latest ASX review of compliance in May 2006 of the ASX Corporate Governance Council's principles and recommendations has revealed listed companies are continuing to improve their corporate governance reporting. Advertisement Reporting deadlines (PDF 44KB) ASX recently announced that following extensive consultation it has decided to retain the two-month reporting deadline for listed entities to report their full-year and interim financial results. New CHESS fee schedule effective 1 July 2006 The CHESS pricing structure will change from 1 July 2006. These changes will result in a simpler pricing model for all CHESS users. Upcoming events Industry in action The Australian Society of Exploration Geophysicists (ASEG) and the Geological Society of Australia (GSA) are convening the Australian Earth Science Convention (AESC2006) in Melbourne from 2-6 July 2006.
