ASX market release - cash market enhancements In his commentary on its half-year results, Robert Elstone, ASX CEO, covered a range of topics of interest to ASX listed companies and their advisers. The following are some relevant extracts from that commentary. Australian equity market a strong performer in 2006 again The Australian market has started 2007 on a very healthy note with Australia's benchmark S&P/ASX 200 reaching an intra-day record of 6,003.2 on 19 February 2007 before closing just shy of the 6,000 mark.
The rise of agricultural biotechnology Investors looking for strong returns should take a sharper focus on agricultural biotechnology which, in the top global markets, is experiencing close to double digit growth. ASX Equity Research update In the last edition of Listed @ ASX we announced the new ASX Equity Research Scheme, which is designed to extend research availability to a wider range of ASX listed companies.
