Update no 07/15

1. Debt and hybrid naming conventions - new descriptions for all existing listed debt and hybrid securities
On 30 January 2015 ASX published Guidance Note 34: Naming Conventions for Debt and Hybrid Securities, preceded by a consultation paper in September 2014. To complement the naming convention ASX also introduced a policy for describing the securities in a way that better enables retail investors to understand the nature of particular securities and easily compare different debt and hybrid securities quoted on ASX. The new security description policy is set out in ASX's Guide to the naming conventions and security descriptions for ASX-quoted debt and hybrid securities.

ASX implemented the new security descriptions on 18 May 2015. The new descriptions for all existing debt and hybrid securities are set out in this list. These new descriptions will now populate the security description field in the ASX online forms for announcing dividends and interest payments. Please review your debt and hybrid security descriptions and contact your ASX listings adviser if you believe that your security has been incorrectly described. For existing securities the ASX Ticker Code remains unchanged.

You can find more information about security descriptions on ASXs' website: http://www.asx.com.au/prices/security-descriptions.htm

If you have any questions please contact your listings adviser.
2. Listing Fees
As advised to customers in February 2015, ASX has a revised schedule of listing fees for FY16. A fee increase broadly in line with CPI (approximately 2.5%) will be implemented across annual and subsequent listing fee rates for equity securities. ASX has also revised the schedule of initial listing fees. There will be no change to debt securities listing fees. Changes will be effective from 1 July 2015. The revised schedules will be available on and from that date in a revised Guidance Note 15A: Schedule of ASX Listing Fees on the "Rules, guidance notes and waivers" page on the ASX website: http://www.asx.com.au/regulation/rules/asx-listing-rules.htm.
3. Revised Guidance Note 8 Continuous Disclosure: Listing Rules 3.1 - 3.1B
Earlier this year, ASX issued a consultation paper on proposed changes to Guidance Note 8 Continuous Disclosure: Listing Rules 3.1 -3.1B (GN 8) expanding the guidance on earnings surprises, publication of analyst forecasts and consensus estimates, and investor briefings.

On 22 June 2015, ASX released a detailed consultation response, along with the final version of GN 8 (Attachment A), a mark-up comparing the final version to the draft version of GN 8 issued with ASX's consultation paper (Attachment B), a mark-up comparing the final version to the current (pre-consultation) version of GN 8 (Attachment C), and a mark-up of ASX's Abridged Guide to Continuous Disclosure reflecting the changes it has made to GN 8 (Attachment D).

ASX intends to publish the final form of GN 8 on 1 July 2015. It will be available on and from that date on the "Rules, guidance notes and waivers" page on the ASX website: http://www.asx.com.au/regulation/rules/asx-listing-rules.htm.

The final form of ASX's Abridged Guide to Continuous Disclosure can be downloaded from the ASX Compliance "downloads" page on the ASX website: http://www.asx.com.au/regulation/compliance/compliance-downloads.htm.
