ASX Austraclear

Austraclear is the sole Central Securities Depository (CSD) of Debt Securities in Australia and offers participants true Delivery versus Payment (DvP), exchanging cash for securities irrevocably and in real-time.

Licensing and regulation

The Austraclear Limited Clearing and Settlement Facility is licensed by ASIC under the Corporations Act 2001 and is regulated by the Reserve Bank of Australia in relation to Financial Stability Standards for Clearing & Settlement Facilities.

The Austraclear System is governed by the Austraclear System Regulations , the operating rules for the facility which are approved under the Corporations Act.

In addition, Austraclear's Procedures Determinations and Practice Notes document describes procedural and interpretive matters to facilitate use of the Austraclear System.

The Austraclear System

In 2006 Austraclear launched a next generation System that positions the market and its participants for increased processing efficiencies, future product expansion and improved direct access.

Free training

Austraclear provides free online training through the AClear Education program.

AClear Education offers choice - being online it is flexible, fast and convenient, and allows you to take as many courses as you wish, in any subject you wish, whenever you wish - at the office or at home, 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
