Electronic calendar easy way to find the right ASX event.
By Graham O'Brien, ASX
Finding the right ASX education event is easier than ever thanks to the new ASX Investor Events Calendar.
Use the electronic calendar to search for events by State, product or by your investment experience - all in a user friendly format that shows when the event is on, and what it covers. You can even register for an event using links in the calendar.
ASX launched the calendar to help investors pinpoint the right event for them, without having to scroll through the growing number of educational events ASX hosts each year.
The calendar currently lists events in March and April. Watch for more events to be added in coming weeks, including:
ASX Investor Hours (the popular monthly lunchtime seminar series) that features some of the market’s best commentators and analysts outlining current market or sector trends, and investment ideas.
ASX Webinars that allow you listen to education seminars in real-time and ask questions, or hear past webinars.
ASX Roadshows that outline the features, benefits and risks of ASX Listed products, and strategies to use them in your portfolio. These roadshows are presented by ASX experts and product specialists from other companies.
Other industry events, such as those from the Australian Investors Association and Australian Shareholders’ Association.
Another way to learn about upcoming events in your area is to sign up to the ASX Keep Me Posted service.
More than 9000 investors attended ASX Roadshows last year, and 11,000 attended ASX Investor Hour presentations in 2009-10. ASX webcasts are downloaded almost 2000 times a month, on average, making them among the most popular education resources on the ASX website.
We hope to see you at an ASX education event this year.
