Michael McCarthy

Michael McCarthy is Chief Market Strategist for CMC Markets Asia Pacific, where he is responsible for global and local market analysis, formulating trading strategies and playing a key role in education of clients.

Mr McCarthy is first and foremost a trader. Working with prominent global investment banks and brokers as a proprietary trader, he has managed money market books, conducted foreign exchange arbitrage, stood as a market maker in exchange traded options over shares on the ASX trading floor, managed hybrid and convertible note portfolios, and traded a global share index swap book. As a director of trading he oversaw all equity derivative risk, acting as a wholesaler of market risk amelioration to the global operations of the bank.

Andrew Campion

Andrew has worked for over two decades in financial services and related industries, with experience in multiple asset classes and geographies. He has spent a significant portion of his career in the UK and the US, where his roles varied from derivatives product controller, strategy consultant, as well as equity options trader. Currently, he is head of the Investment Products team at ASX, which covers ETFs, LICs, mFunds, REITs, warrants, hybrids, and bonds. Prior to joining ASX, Andrew was Executive Director in Equity Derivatives Trading for Goldman Sachs in Sydney.

Andrew holds a Bachelor of Economics (Hons) from Macquarie University, a MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, and is a CFA charterholder.

Presenter Bio

Graham is the Manager of Equities Derivatives at ASX. Graham has 22 years' experience in the equity and derivatives industry as a broker and educator. He started on the options trading floor as a board broker in 1995 and then worked on both institutional and retail desks until 2001. Today, one of Graham’s key responsibilities is educating investors and advisers on a range of ASX products, including options.

Conor has been with Pinnacle for approximately 5 years engaging with investors on behalf of Pinnacle’s specialist investment managers. His role encompasses capital markets activities including LICs, ETMFs and MFunds, from product structuring through to implementation and distribution.

Prior to Pinnacle, Conor was based in London with BNP Paribas in Fund and Equity Derivatives and began his career with Man Investments on their Graduate Quantitative Programme.
