Michael Murray is an analyst with Australian Ethical Investment, Australia’s leading ethical superannuation fund and investment manager with over $2.2bn in funds under management.

Michael has 20 years of total investment experience, with much of this relating to investing with an ethical or environmental, social and governance perspective.

Prior to working at Australian Ethical, Michael held senior portfolio management roles with Integrity Investment Management and AMP Capital Sustainable equities strategies. At Australian Ethical he is focused on the healthcare sector which makes up a significant part of the portfolio, with investments spanning from early stage biotechs to mature ASX100 companies.

Australian Ethical was launched in 1986 and is a publicly listed company that invests and operates its business according to its Ethical Charter. 10% of its profits fund its Community Grants program, one of the highest levels of corporate giving in Australia. Its superannuation fund was the fastest growing superannuation fund in 2016 for both assets under management and growth in member numbers. It was the first superannuation fund and investment manager, and the first ASX listed company, to become a certified B Corp in Australia — last year Australian Ethical was awarded one of the ‘Best for the World’ B Corps, ranking it in the top 10% of 1,300 B Corps globally.

She has over 17 years of experience in financial markets and you can see her hosting 'Equity Investor' on the SKY Business Channel. She is also a regular contributor to industry publications and is a frequent speaker at industry conferences.

Kris Walesby is the Sydney-based CEO of ETFS Management (AUS) Limited and Metals Securities Australia Limited, the Australian subsidiaries of ETF Securities, a fully independent ETF specialist with $23b USD of FUM across Europe, the US and Australia.

Kris has over a decade's experience in the ETF industry and was previously based in London, where he worked in the ETF industry for nine years, giving him a broad perspective on the development of ETF products in European markets.

Kris joined ETF Securities from Invesco Powershares, where he was Head of Capital Markets for Europe, the Middle East and Africa with responsibilities for distribution. Before that he worked at a number of ETF and asset management firms including ETF Securities, Deutsche Bank and BlackRock.

Kris can discuss trends in the global and Australian ETF markets, how ETFs can be used in SMSF portfolios, the growth of smart beta ETFs and any other topical issues affecting the development of ETFs.

Pete Morrissey
Fund Manager, Real Estate Securities

Pete joined APN in 2006 and is responsible for managing APN’s Property for Income Funds and Asian REIT strategies.
With more than 15 years financial markets experience, Pete brings a unique knowledge set having completed Masters level academic research papers on both commercial real estate cycles and global property securities.

Prior to joining APN, he was a senior analyst at Australian research house Lonsec, managed an internationally focused private investment fund and worked in the UK for Nomura, ING Barings and Lloyds Bank.
Pete holds both a Master of Commerce and Master of Finance and is a Fellow of the Financial Services Institute of Australasia.

Andrew was appointed National Account Manager at Fidelity International in September 2010.
Andrew is responsible for communicating Fidelity's investment strategies to all dealer group and financial planning firm's represented across Victoria, Western Australian, South Australian and Tasmania.

Andrew has 21 years of experience in the financial services industry and joined Fidelity following 15 years in a range of distribution roles with BT Funds Management and BT Financial Group.

Arnie Selvarajah has more than 25 years’ experience in both the financial services and fast-moving consumer goods sectors, during which time he has held senior positions in finance, sales, strategy and general management.

Arnie joined Bell Direct as Chief Executive Officer in May 2008 and since then has led the company to its position today as Australia’s fastest-growing online stock broker.

Prior to joining Bell Direct, Arnie was with the Commonwealth Bank heading local business banking in NSW and the ACT for two years. Before that he was Executive Manager at CommSec and Bankers Trust where in 1998 he was involved with the development and launch of the BT Wrap platform.

Ian joined Fidelity International in 2015 in the role of National Account Manager. In this role he is responsible for the marketing and distribution of Fidelity's extensive range of equity and fixed interest investment products. Ian has 20 years’ experience in the financial services industry and has previously held senior distribution roles with Macquarie Group, Commonwealth Bank and Suncorp Group.

Ian studied Banking at Charles Sturt University before completing a Masters of Applied Finance, majoring in Corporate Finance. In addition, he holds a Diploma of Financial Services and a Certificate in Finance and Mortgage Broking.
