An alternative to traditional colocation, ASX Colo OnDemand is a pre-built, tiered, fully managed, multi-tenant environment hosted directly within the Australian Liquidity Centre (ALC). This allows customers to rapidly deploy, access advanced analytics and connect seamlessly to the broader ASX ecosystem - all without purchasing hardware or managing infrastructure.
Why Colo OnDemand?
ASX Colo OnDemand was designed with three goals: to lower costs, reduce complexity, and enable broader ecosystem participation.
- Cost-effective: ASX Colo OnDemand is built around a clear subscription model, with minimal upfront investment and transparent, predictable pricing.
- Reducing complexity: By using pre-built, standardised compute environments within the ALC, customers can deploy quickly without in-house specialist skills and avoid ongoing management burden.
- Lowering barriers to entry: A more accessible commercial model and flexible compute options open the market to smaller firms and those with fluctuating needs, supporting greater liquidity, diversity and innovation.
International firms servicing Australian customers can also benefit from this simplified approach. Firms with no local presence can bypass traditional requirements like importing hardware, leasing space and power, and engaging a local MSP to rack, stack and configure equipment.
The flexible approach supports firms looking to test new markets or strategies without long-term commitments, and entities seeking a compliant, APRA-aligned environment without the overhead of self-management. Whether scaling globally, entering the market or managing regulatory obligations, it provides a faster, lower-risk path.
Built for performance
A range of standardised compute options is designed to support everything from lightweight test environments to full-scale production workloads. Customers can select from virtual shared or one of three bare metal compute tiers.
The bare metal server provide single tenant high performance compute with full access to CPU, memory and storage, and delivering the performance and control needed for resource-intensive applications. Available in three tiers (low-, medium- or high-specification), they support a variety of requirements, from basic deployments to latency-sensitive applications.
Virtual colocation utilises machines running on multi-tenant infrastructure, offering cost efficiency, flexibility and straightforward scalability. Upfront costs are lower than those of bare metal, as users pay only for the resources they use, and it’s easy to scale in response to shifting demand.
All deployments are backed by Beeks Financial Cloud’s infrastructure expertise, with provisioning, networking and connectivity to ASX application services managed as part of the service. Once deployed, customers are connected into a high-resilience network fabric featuring dual firewalls, redundant uplinks and private segmentation for isolation and availability.
All environments benefit from direct access to ASX services, third-party platforms, and existing connectivity providers within the ALC ecosystem. Whether scaling up production or running tests, customers can rely on seamless, secure integration.
