Brokers provide access to financial markets by executing trades and offering a range of services. The services and markets supported by brokers can vary.
Because brokers differ in the products they support, the markets they operate in and the services they offer, it is important to consider which brokers best meet your needs before making contact.
You can use the directories below to find and contact brokers that participate in ASX markets.
Retail brokers support individual and everyday investors to access the market, such as to buy and sell shares, exchange traded funds (ETFs), options, and other products. You can separate retail brokers into two sub-categories.
A full service broker or financial adviser can make recommendations on buying and selling securities in addition to trade execution and related services. Online brokers do not provide advice, but enable confident investors to place their own buy orders and sell offers. Due to the advice they provide, full service broker fees tend to be higher.

Wholesale and Institutional brokers primarily work with professional clients such as asset managers and financial advisors rather than with everyday, retail investors. Institutional brokers focus specifically on large clients, such as superannuation funds and companies. Some of these brokers may offer intermediary services to support market access for other market participants.
