Executive Leadership Team
Interim Chief Executive Officer
On 30 April 2026, Darren Yip was announced as Interim CEO for ASX.
Mr Yip is a highly-skilled executive who brings more than 20-years’ experience in global financial markets with a background in prime brokerage and equity markets.
Mr Yip joined ASX in March 2023 as Group Executive, Markets, and his role expanded in June 2025 to assume responsibility for ASX’s Listings business. As head of the Group’s Market’s and Listings businesses Darren is responsible for ASX’s cash and derivative market trading platforms, derivative central clearing house & benchmark administration license, distribution, product management, market surveillance, market announcements, the origination of listed primary and secondary equity, and investment products.
Group Executive, Technology & Data
Jamie Crank was appointed Group Executive for ASX’s Technology & Data business in September 2024. In this role, Jamie is charged with delivering a comprehensive suite of technology and data solutions to meet the evolving needs of ASX’s customers.
He joined ASX in 2016, and has held a number of senior management positions including General Manager of Issuer Services and General Manager of Information and Connectivity Services. He was most recently the General Manager, Trading for ASX’s Markets business.
Chief People Officer
Jane Franks was appointed Chief People Officer in November 2023 and is responsible for developing a people and culture strategy that enables ASX to achieve its vision and strategy.
With over 20 years of experience in highly regulated industries, Jane is an accomplished leader having led significant transformation programs across a range of industries and markets. Prior to ASX, she had over 16 years’ financial services experience in senior HR roles at Westpac and its autonomous wealth management arm, BT Financial Group. Most recently, Jane spent seven years in consumer products as Chief People Officer at ASX-listed Blackmores and as HR Director at Diageo.
Chief Compliance Officer
Lucinda McCann was appointed Chief Compliance Officer in January 2026 and is responsible for admitting new entities on ASX’s equity market, monitoring and enforcing compliance with ASX’s rules by listed entities, investment product issuers and participants, enforcement action against participants for breaches of ASX’s rules and related guidance and education activities.
ASX Compliance is a specialist function established to monitor and enforce compliance by listed entities, issuers of investment products and participants with ASX’s rules.
Group General Counsel and Company Secretary
Johanna O’Rourke was appointed Group General Counsel and Company Secretary in January 2023, having acted in the role since October 2022. In this role, she is responsible for ASX’s Legal, Company Secretarial and Regulatory Policy functions.
Johanna joined ASX in January 2021 as Deputy General Counsel, working across ASX's business and functional lines with a particular focus on ASX's corporate, strategy, technology and data, listings and issuer functions.
Chief Operating Officer
Diona (Dee) Rae joined ASX in May 2023 as Program Director, Delivery, to provide additional capacity and enterprise focus for ASX’s delivery and regulatory programs. She was appointed Chief Operating Officer in August 2023 and is responsible for the Enterprise Customer and Operations function, including project delivery, customer, brand and marketing, digital, and regulatory reporting.
Dee brings extensive experience in regulatory remediation programs and a proven track record delivering large, complex transformation, technology and risk initiatives. Before joining ASX, Dee was most recently Executive General Manager, Privacy Program Delivery with Commonwealth Bank. Prior to that role, Dee was the Chief Controls Officer for the bank’s Enterprise Services Group, leading line 1 risk management for the bank’s technology and operations functions.
Chief Financial Officer
Andrew Tobin was appointed Chief Financial Officer of ASX in September 2022. In this role, he is responsible for ASX’s Finance, Treasury, Investor Relations, Strategy, Corporate Affairs, ESG and National Facilities functions.
Andrew has more than 30 years’ experience in various group finance and audit roles in Australia and Asia. Prior to ASX, Andrew was CFO at Challenger Limited (2012-2021), responsible for numerous operational areas including finance, investor relations, treasury, operations and information technology. He was Deputy CFO before that and has also worked at CBA, MLC and KPMG.
Chief Risk Officer
Dirk McLiesh was appointed Chief Risk Officer in March 2025. In this role, he is responsible for leading all aspects of the risk management framework that ASX uses to operate and manage its business.
Dirk has worked in risk management for more than 25 years in large organisations in the United States, Australia, and New Zealand. He has deep expertise in both financial and non-financial risk, including a strong track record in delivering risk culture change and regulatory engagement programs.
Before joining ASX, Dirk was the Chief Risk Officer of Westpac New Zealand from 2022. During his career, he has worked for Bank of New Zealand, Westpac, National Australia Bank, Capital One, Microsoft and the Boston Consulting Group.
Acting Group Executive, Securities and Payments
Andrew commenced as Acting Group Executive, Securities and Payments in March 2026. In this role he is responsible for ASX’s cash equities clearing and settlement businesses, ASX’s settlement and depository business for the wholesale debt market, ASX Collateral, payments, and financial settlement management (FSM/Sympli), issuer and post-trade investor services, and overall executive responsibility for the delivery of CHESS replacement. Prior to this, Andrew was General Manager Equities in Securities & Payments at ASX.
Chief Information Officer
Tim was announced as ASX’s new Chief Information Officer in May 2023, following the creation of a stand-alone ASX technology division.
In this role, Tim is responsible for ASX’s enterprise technology strategy and technology modernisation program; technology security and governance; technology infrastructure; and core technology functions of enterprise architecture, solutions engineering, quality engineering and testing, system integration and critical situation management.
Tim is a highly skilled technology transformation executive with more than 25 years' experience in technology and project execution roles in the financial services industry. He has a proven capability running core technology functions and delivering large-scale, complex technology transformations.
Tim joined ASX to lead the CHESS Replacement Solution Design work in November 2023.
Acting Group Executive, Markets
Daniel Sinclair was appointed Acting Group Executive, Markets in May 2026. Daniel joined ASX in 2023 as Head of Commodities and subsequently assumed broader responsibility for Trading Services and Product Management across rates, equity and commodity derivatives, as well as investment products and benchmarks.
He has more than 25 years’ experience in global financial markets as a trader, portfolio manager and business leader. His career spans senior roles at commodity merchants, investment banks, hedge funds and proprietary trading firms, as well as founding and leading institutional investment management businesses.
Acting Group Executive, Listings
Gavin Skene was appointed Acting Group Executive, Listings in May 2026, with responsibility for ASX’s listings business and the continued competitiveness of Australia’s public capital markets.
He leads ASX’s capital formation strategy, listings policy and market structure settings, helping shape the environment in which companies access public markets and investors allocate capital.
Gavin has more than 25 years’ experience across global financial markets, investment banking and law, spanning Australia, Asia-Pacific and the United States. Prior to joining ASX, Gavin served as Chief Operating Officer and Chief Risk Officer for Global Capital Markets in Asia-Pacific at Morgan Stanley.
The Board of ASX is ultimately accountable to shareholders for the performance of ASX. It is responsible for overseeing the conduct of the affairs of the Group, consistent with the Group's licence obligations and public policy objectives directed at financial market and payments system integrity.
