CHESS Release 2 focuses on the settlement and subregister functionality, delivering improved Corporate Action functionality and facilitating further enhancements to Clearing. CHESS Release 2 also introduces global standard ISO 20022 messaging interfaces for Participants, Share Registries and Payment Providers.
To ensure Software Providers and in-house software build teams have time to develop their solutions, CHESS User Technical Documentation (UTD) will be provided approximately six months ahead of each software deployment and will include:
- functional specifications
- ISO 20022 message catalogues and technical manuals
- project-specific documentation including comparisons to the previous iteration of the project.
Each new documentation drop will incrementally introduce functionality aligned to the new features contained in each subsequent software drop.
Software Providers should refer to the latest drop documentation as the most up-to-date version of functionality to rely on when building and testing software.
