You have studied hard and you are ready to take the next step. We understand that once you graduate, it's not always easy to find your way. Because at ASX, what YOU do matters
You will complete an 18-month tailored program designed to give you cross-functional experience, introducing you to all aspects of life at a globally-renowned exchange. You will undertake rotations where you’ll build the critical capabilities and professional skills to grow a successful career. From day one, you’ll play an integral role in delivering for our customers and strategy.
We have smaller graduate cohort intakes each year who have created a supportive, vibrant community at ASX.
Broaden your interests and skills by engaging in three six-month rotations, tailored to your career pathway.
Our graduate program starts in March every year, with an induction designed to welcome you and help get you up to speed quickly.
With regular sessions across a broad range of skills you’ll need, such as personal brand, self-awareness, communication skills and presenting.
An experienced buddy will help you settle in and you’ll always have a dedicated graduate coordinator, buddies and mentors focussed on helping you grow professionally.
Including clubs to connect with likeminded colleagues (everything from running to Futsal, CHESS and much more), support networks (LGBTQ+, disability, gender equality and volunteering), regular keynote speakers and access to the Employee Assistance Program
To help you decide where you fit, our roles are grouped into three pathways. Each of our specialised business areas and teams sit within these pathways and can align to your interests and qualification type. Explore our different pathways below:
Help us transform our technology. We run critical market infrastructure with one in three people employed within Technology and modernisation is a key strategic priority for ASX. You will engineer for excellence, innovate in the cloud, develop modern applications, support from the ground up and keep us cyber-safe.
If you’ve studied information systems, computer science, engineering, economics, data science or business management, this could be the pathway for you.
Collaborate with purpose to identify and design products, support business development and delivery and strategise on solutions. If you're passionate about the market, curious about it’s operations and obsess over customer experience, you will thrive in one of our revenue-generating businesses. Just as the services in this pathway are broad, so too are the degree types we’re looking for.
You could have a qualification in business/commerce, management, economics, behavioural science, communication or environmental studies, among many others.
It’s not just about the numbers. Use automation to audit and streamline financial reporting or identify cost saving opportunities and be involved in planning a business unit’s finance division structure.
This area is for you if you’ve studied accounting, actuarial studies or finance - or any other degree with a strong financial or analytical focus.

The first stage of the recruitment process will involve completing an online application form.
Hints & tips: We encourage you to complete this form in one setting and have all of your relevant supporting documentation readily available (i.e. resume, academic transcript, proof of citizenship etc.)
If eligible for the program, you will be invited to complete a short online assessment and record a video response to some questions which will give us insight into you and your motivations for applying to the program.
Hints & Tips: We recommend that you complete this assessment in a quiet environment where you will not be disturbed.
Successful candidates will be invited to attend a Virtual Assessment Centre. You will take part in a couple of group activities, along with a short interview to ensure we can get to know you through a range of settings and more importantly, you can get to know us!
Hints & Tips: The Assessment Centre is designed to assess your ability to interact and work within a team, so we encourage you to show us your personality and engage with your group members.
If successful, People and Culture will call you shortly after attending the virtual assessment centre to make you an employment offer!
